kepano

kepano is the GitHub account of Steph Ango, who works at Obsidian and is closely involved with the well-known note-taking app. The Obsidian Skills entry listed on this platform teaches an AI agent to work with the Obsidian CLI and open formats such as Markdown, Bases, and JSON Canvas, instead of operating the Obsidian interface by hand.

With around 49,000 stars, Obsidian Skills is one of the better-known projects around AI agent capabilities for note-taking and knowledge management. Ango also maintains several other widely used projects, including Obsidian Minimal, a customizable theme for Obsidian, and Defuddle, a tool that converts web pages into clean Markdown.

His focus consistently centers on productivity tools and the infrastructure behind personal knowledge management — the Obsidian skill extends that same focus into the space of agentic AI tools.
