Campaign Plan

Turns a marketing goal into an executable campaign plan with audience, channels, calendar, and measurement.

Campaign Plan is an official skill in the marketing plugin of Anthropic’s knowledge-work-plugins repository. The canonical source directory is currently named campaign-plan; the originally reviewed campaign-planning path has been replaced by that directory in the official repository. This catalog entry therefore describes the verified source directory rather than a separate product. According to the provider, the skill generates a comprehensive campaign brief covering objectives, audience, messaging, channel strategy, a content calendar, and success measurement. It is intended for structured preparation when a team is planning a product launch, lead-generation push, awareness campaign, or re-engagement effort.

Purpose and Inputs

The workflow starts with the campaign objective. The objective may focus on awareness, consideration, conversion, retention, or advocacy, but it should be stated in a way that allows later verification. The skill then gathers audience details such as roles, industries, pain points, motivations, objections, and buying stage. Timeline, fixed dates, milestones, and dependencies establish the operational frame. Product context, differentiators, value propositions, geography, previous performance, and brand guidelines can make the plan more specific. Budget information is optional according to the provider. When it is not supplied, the skill can produce a channel-agnostic plan and identify where a resource decision will affect the recommendation.

Brief and Messaging

The output brings together a suggested campaign name, a concise summary, a primary objective, and any secondary objectives. It describes the primary and secondary audience segments, their needs, objections, information sources, and buying stage. Messaging is organized as a hierarchy: a core statement explains why the audience should care, supporting messages answer concerns, and proof points improve credibility. Channel-specific variations may adapt tone and format without abandoning the central positioning. Case studies, research, customer evidence, and third-party validation must come from trustworthy sources and must not be invented by a language model.

Channels and Calendar

The channel strategy distinguishes owned, earned, and paid reach. A blog, website, email, or organic social profile can support education and relationships. Public relations, guest content, partnerships, and communities can expand reach and trust. Search advertising, social advertising, display, sponsored content, and events are possible paid options, but their use depends on audience fit, approvals, privacy requirements, and available resources. The skill connects each recommendation with a reason, a format, and an effort level. Calendar planning works backward from launches, events, or seasonal moments and identifies content, owners, milestones, deadlines, and dependencies. For example, a landing page may need review and publication before an advertising activation can be approved.

Measurement, Risks, and Boundaries

Measurement links primary and secondary indicators to the campaign objective. Depending on the goal, relevant measures may include reach, qualified contacts, registrations, activation, engagement, pipeline, retention, or referrals. Each metric needs a data source, an accountable owner, a review cadence, and an unambiguous definition. Risks such as inaccurate audience assumptions, missing approvals, unclear ownership, weak content, or an underperforming channel should be paired with concrete mitigations and decision points.

Campaign Plan is not a media-buying platform, CRM, analytics system, or guarantee of campaign performance. According to the provider, it supports planning and organization; the organization remains responsible for objectives, claims, audience definitions, legal bases, consent, brand rules, and measurement conventions. A connected language model may transmit inputs and outputs to its model provider. A local skill file therefore does not automatically mean that model processing is local. Confidential customer data, internal budgets, and personal information should be handled only in approved systems with appropriate access controls. The Content, Lead Generation, and Social Media categories reflect the documented work areas. Compatibility with Claude Code identifies a possible client context; actual capabilities depend on the local installation and connected tools. Skill Road does not state concrete prices or quotas.
