Prefect

Prefect Technologies builds Prefect, an open-source Python framework for orchestrating data and AI workflows. Orchestration means Prefect schedules, starts and monitors runs and retries them when they fail. Alongside the open-source edition under Apache-2.0, there is the managed service Prefect Cloud. The company was founded by Jeremiah Lowin, who previously sat on the Apache Airflow project committee, and the team also maintains FastMCP, a widely used Python framework for building MCP servers. MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants work with other services.
