Lovable positions itself as an AI full-stack engineer: users describe the web application they want in a chat, and Lovable generates the complete codebase — frontend, backend, database integration, and authentication — then deploys it with one click. Generated applications are built on a modern stack of React, Tailwind CSS, and Supabase.

A "Draw-to-Build" interface lets users sketch UI elements directly on a canvas, which Lovable then converts into production-ready code automatically. An MCP integration also allows building and managing Lovable projects directly from Claude or the Claude Code terminal, instead of switching between interfaces. Supabase is built in for data storage, user accounts, payments via Stripe, and file storage.

According to the company, Lovable reached $17 million in annual recurring revenue and more than 45,000 paying users within months of launch, with over 25 million projects created on the platform to date — a sign of how quickly AI-powered app builders have spread among non-coders.
