Amplitude

Amplitude operates a digital analytics platform that helps product teams understand user behavior and refine products accordingly, and publishes the official Amplitude MCP Server. The company describes its goal as helping teams build "self-improving products."

Its feature set includes standard product and web analytics, session replay, heatmaps, and, more recently, "Agent Analytics" for analyzing the behavior of AI agents themselves. On the action and experimentation side, Amplitude offers feature and web experimentation, feature management, and guides and surveys for activation. The "Global Agent" enables natural-language queries such as "Why are new users dropping before setup?" and returns analytical insights directly; the company says this AI agent resolves 76% of customer issues on average across more than 4,900 customers.

Through the MCP server, new Amplitude insights can be prompted directly from Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or other AI platforms, rather than switching between the analytics dashboard and the development environment.

The business model is freemium, with 2 million free events per month before moving to paid plans. Customers include Replit, Coinbase, Cloudflare, NVIDIA, Anthropic, Figma, and Vercel.

Amplitude was founded in 2012 by Spenser Skates and Curtis Liu, who had known each other since their freshman year at MIT. Originally built as an internal analytics system for the unsuccessful voice-recognition app Sonalight, Amplitude officially launched as a standalone analytics platform in 2014 with an additional co-founder.
